Ending Violence Against Women and Children

CALENDAR OF EVENTS AND CLASSES
Voices Set Free has been invited to speak at the NASW Oregon Chapter State Conference on March 7, 2008. Social Workers: Shaping Tomorrow Today.
Why Didn't She Leave? Political Action and Social Justice
Voices Set Free will open a conversation about the profound personal and societal problems of domestic violence.
We will explore why battered women stay in abusive relationships despite severe risks to their lives and liberty. We will hear from a formerly
incarcerated woman convicted of killing her batterer and rendered invisible by the system. We will discuss improving our laws so abused women have more
power when facing emotional, physical and legal abuse. How might things change!!
A 90 minute work session is offered with this presentation. This is open to any skill level.
Time and location will updated shortly.
Fall 2008
To celebrate the recent releases of Shirley Lute and Lynda Branch from Missouri's Correctional Institutions, Voices Set Free is planning
